The Ten Commandments of Computers

The Ten Commandments of Computers
1. When computing, and you experience the unexpected, whatever happens, Thou shall behave as though you it was meant it to happen.
2. Thou shall understand when you really understand your computer, it is now obsolete.
3. Thou shall look in the manual for help and support where thou would least expect to find
it.
4. Thou shall know when the going gets tough, thou shall upgrade.
5. Thou shall know for every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction.
6. Thou shall know to err is human, to blame your computer for your mistakes is even more human
7. Thou shall backup your data. He who laughs at this, probably has a backup - that is corrupt.
8. Thou shall understand the biggest cause of computer problems is computer solutions.
9. Thou shall follow the rule if it is not broken, do not fix it; or know that a complex system that doesn't work is known to have evolved from a simpler system that worked just fine.
10. Thy computer programs will always do what you command, but rarely will do what thou desires.
