IBM\Lenovo Dead Pixel replacement Policy

As with all LCD screens, there is a high possibility of pixel failure, or what is commonly called a dead or stuck pixel. The manufacturing and quality control processed of LCD panels is quite stringent, however benign that there are millions upon millions of transistors in a LC panel, a dead pixel is common.

The question is how many dead pixels dos it take to consider the entire lcd panel defective?
You and I would say 1, however manufacturers do not agree. Each manufacturer has their own threshold as to what number of dead pixels warrants a lcd replacement.

IBM\Lenovo has a policy and a chart available here
Please check with your manufacturer for their own policy.
